Join RSVP and the Senior Support Action Group for a day of service at Crandall Park where will be doing a park clean-up, collecting nonperishable food and personal care items, and hosting a Resource Fair!
* While it is highly encourage, you do not need to volunteer to visit the resource fair or to participate in the day's activities!
Volunteer 9:00 - 11:00am
Assist with park clean-up, trimming back overgrowth along paths and frequently used spaces, planting flowers, etc. For more details and to sign-up: bit.ly/serveohio
Donation Collection 9:00 - 1:00pm
Donate nonperishable food and personal care items and reusable grocery bags to the Senior Support Action Group's food pantry delivery program. There will be a box at the action group's table during the event to collect donations.
Resource Fair Vendors 10:00 - 1:00pm
Need volunteers? Have resources and services to share with the community? Email lsakacs@fcsohio.org to reserve a spot at the Serve Ohio Day Resource Fair! Participating vendors will need to bring their own table, chairs, and optional canopy. Set-up begins at 9:00am.
Farmer’s Market Vendors 10:00 - 1:00pm
Having produce or a product to sell? Email lsakacs@fcsohio.org to reserve a spot! We will be set-up to accept SNAP and WIC. Participating vendors will need to bring their own table, chairs, and optional canopy. Set-up begins at 9:00am.
Other Activities
We are also seeking anyone willing to donate their time / services to provide additional activities, such as yoga, children's crafts / games, etc.
Sponsors Needed!
We are seeking sponsors (or businesses willing to make an in-kind donation) to purchase flowers, mulch, work gloves and other equipment, refreshments for volunteers (i.e. water and fruit), and t-shirts. Sponsors will receive social media recognition, their name on the t-shirts, and be welcomed to set-up a table at the event. Please see the attached sponsor commitment form for more details.
