We are in need of volunteers to assist with Care Closet Delivery. Currently, the United Way has 19 Care Closets throughout Mahoning County Schools. Care Closets are resource rooms for students and staff to access basic need materials such as food, hygiene, and clothing. These Care Closets assist with getting students back in the classroom ready to learn.
What do you need? These deliveries require the volunteer to use your personal vehicle to deliver restock items to the schools as needed. Volunteers should be able to lift up to 30lbs to assist with the delivery portion of the material. We ask that your vehicle is cleared of other items upon pickup.
Where do you go? Pickup is at the United Way Volunteer Resource Center located at 8133 Market Street Youngstown OH 44512. Delivery will be throughout the school district as needed for the 19 Care Closets. Assignment of delivery will be provided to you when you pickup the materials at the volunteer center.
How long does it take? Deliveries usually take 1-2 hours but no more than that.
