Satur-Day of Caring

Volunteers needed to deliver groceries to seniors, shut-ins, and families. Arrive at the parking lot behind Southwoods Hospital at 10:00 am. You will receive a list of addresses, the groceries, and any additional items that need to be delivered. Each route has about 5-7 houses to deliver to. The list has been optimized to be the most efficient route for drivers. Phone numbers will be provided; please call ahead to let the patrons know that you are volunteering with United Way and will be dropping off their groceries. Once notified, you may leave the groceries outside the door, knock or ring the door bell, and leave. Some people may request help carrying groceries into the house. Please wear a mask at all times. We recommend pairing up with someone else.
